What do you offer on the menu? Each month, we offer 14-15 freezer-friendly menu selections. You will find that most of our selections are designed to make your dinner hour easier. Our recipes are developed and tested by regular families just like yours.
Why use these services? For a myriad of reasons: try a new recipe without buying that expensive spice, add variety to your menu, don't use sharp knives around young children, only purchase ingredients needed — leave the remainder at the store, save time preparing meals, leave the mess behind, and best of all, share conversation with friends. Most customers use our services to gain variety in their menu and they enjoy the added bonus of assembling with friends.
Why isn't each selection a full meal? Simply put we are offering flexibility for your picky eaters while saving you valuable meal preparation time. Why should we force you to purchase our selected side item of Brussels sprouts when someone in the household doesn't eat them? Some selections include a vegetable, others you can simply add your favorite salad or bread to complete the meal.
How much does this cost? For under $3.00/serving you can have a freezer full of food ready to prepare when you need a change from frozen pizza. Select any 8-14 items of 4/6 servings for a base session fee of $65 in addition to your menu item costs. An average selection costs between $5 and $14 per item. At 8 items of approximately $9 each your total cost is $137. Divide that by the number of servings and your serving cost is just $2.85. What was your last restaurant bill? Looking for smaller portions? Enjoy any eight items in a 2/3 serving size for a base session fee of $40. Note: some selections are not available in the smaller portion size.
Why don't you simply charge a flat fee? Our pricing structure allows the flexibility you require and offers you the opportunity to order more than one or two of any given item. Why pay the same amount for Asparagus Stuffed Pork Tenderloin as you would for Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Soup?
Why do you say the serving sizes are 4/6 or 2/3? As is sometimes said: serves 6 regular people, 4 hungry people or 3 gluttons. We follow the FDA serving size guidelines but we also try to keep normal people in mind. Please contact us if you have any questions about our selections and how they fit with your family. Your feedback is extremely important to us.
How do these items to fit into my busy life? Most of us have a family calendar somewhere in the kitchen. On Sunday night take a peek at the schedule and figure out which days you would love to have help in the kitchen. Then pull out a few items from the freezer to defrost in the refrigerator. On your busy days, simply pop them in the oven, crock pot or grill as required. Enjoy getting out of the kitchen and back into life.
How long does it take? It takes less than 2 hours for 12-14 selections. Only making 8 selections? Plan on an hour while your child is participating in an activity.
How do I sign up? Reserve your session time by selecting a time on our calendar that works with your schedule. Hold your selections with a credit card through our secure web site. Pop into the store at your selected time with a cooler. Assemble your selections in less than 2 hours and take them home to freeze.
Why do I need to log in? In the interest in saving you time, we have you log into our secure web site to serve you in a safer and more efficient way. Once logged in, the site will automatically complete your name and address portion of the registration process. All you need to do is enter your credit card number. Your profile information can be updated at any time.
Do I have to sign up on the web? Web registration is faster for you and helps us keep our costs low. However, we also offer registration by stopping into the store during business hours, faxing, or by calling. To serve you better, we require a 2 or more day advance notice for all orders.
Are you going to sell my e-mail address? No. We do not pass along or sell any information about our customers. This information is strictly for store usage and credit card information is not retained at the store. Our e-mail address use is limited to newsletters, in-store promotions and order receipts.
Can I bring a group of friends? Absolutely! Enjoying our services with friends is a great way to multi-task. Gather 8 or more friends for a Private Party and reserve two hours in our kitchen by yourselves! View our Private Party information page for more details.
Can my child come with me? We welcome mature children 10 and older. We know kids are more willing to try new foods when they can participate. They also feel a sense of pride in having contributed to the family. Sign up for our Sunday adult/child sessions and special dates when school is out and leave the mess to us!
Are you a franchise? No. To serve you better, we are 100% locally owned and operated. If you want to see certain items on the menu, please let us know. We help you eat at the warmest restaurant in town that is also not a franchise... your own home!
